Stash Packable Bags on the Road: Team Trip Recap

This spring, we sent the Pakt team out with the new Stash line to test how the bags hold up to real-world travel. From train-hopping in Europe to off-grid van life in Montana, each trip was totally different. But one thing stayed the same: we all reached for our Stash bags again and again.

They expand when you need extra space and tuck away when you don’t. They’re light, low-maintenance, and effortlessly adaptable. Basically, the perfect just-in-case bag.

Here’s a look at where we went, what we packed, and why these packable bags earned a permanent place in our travel kits.

Malcolm

Founder & Pilot. Always on the move.

The trip Flew myself to Upstate New York, New York City, and Cape Cod.

The gear Aero + Stash Backpack + Stash Sling

What I packed Minimal clothes, laptop and headphones, two pairs of shoes, and some hiking gear.

Why the Stash Sling is my packable pick It’s become my go-to for everyday use. Perfect for quick hikes, walks with Vito, or running out for coffee—just the essentials, no bulk.

The trip Two weeks of train-hopping in Europe with mi amici.

The gear Aero + Stash Tote + Clip-in Waterproof Pouch

What I packed 5 tops, 4 bottoms, 1 dress, a bathing suit, 2 pairs of shoes, a laptop, a camera, minimal makeup kit, and a jacket.

Why the Stash Tote is my packable pick It came with me everywhere, every day. To the beach, on a boat trip, and to the market. Even though I didn't need a personal item on the first leg of my trip, I was glad I had it for all the Italian ceramics and records I brought home.

Richelle

The trip Van camping in Montana, not far from Pakt HQ in Bozeman.

The gear Pakt Original Travel Backpack + Stash Backpack

What I packed Swimsuit, change of clothes, hiking clothes, laptop, and boots.

Why the Stash Backpack is my packable pick I’ve been dreaming of this pack for years. Unlike most daypacks I’ve owned, this one looks great when I’m enjoying a fancy single-origin coffee at a local roaster — and it looks good on the trail. The design team killed it with this one by making the back sleeve fit a laptop or water reservoir and having a pass-through option for the tube. I love this thing.

Rawmin

Design Director: Will travel for skiing.

The trip Traveling with the Aero & Stash development samples to Portugal

The gear Aero Travel Backpack + Stash Packable Backpack + Stash Packable Tote + Stash Packable Sling

Why the Stash Tote is my packable pick I use this Stash bag the most frequently, and for a variety of purposes. I like that it's lightweight and packable, but still has some structure. I also love the quick access magnet pockets which eliminates the need to fiddle with a zipper but still provides some level of security.
