Brooklyn To Bozeman: Pakt’s Hometown Story
Looking out our studio window the rhythm of Bozeman gives off a peaceful, easy feeling. Mountain tops decorate the horizon lines under a big blue Montana sky. When your life and work center around travel, it matters where you call home.
In October 2021, we loaded up Pakt HQ and drove from Brooklyn to Bozeman. On a map, it might not look that far, but the two are worlds apart. One refined and urban. The other, rugged and wild. In many ways, these two opposites create a perfect balance that serves as the inspiration for our designs.

As the best little bag brand this side of the Rockies, Pakt has continued to grow, adding four full-time positions to our team (much to studio dog Vito’s delight). Along with more dog treats, the new additions to our product and creative teams provide more capacity for some exciting new projects. We became an international team when Sa Tran joined as Pakt’s quality control analyst. Based out of Vietnam, her role allows us to guarantee that our bags are manufactured to our exacting standards.

Back in Bozeman, our used-gear marketplace, rePakt, has been helping old bags find new travelers and our repair program is keeping Pakt gear on the road and out of the landfill.

As Pakt continues its journey, responsibility has remained a priority. We continue to weigh every decision with the environmental and societal impact in mind. For 2025, we’ll be sharing more on this process and the organizations we partner with, including an exciting announcement with our Fair Trade partners.
