Best pack!

I have been using my Pakt 35L pack for business and personal travel and this is the best one by far for organization of my travel items and the quality of the pack is superior to my other briefcases and packs. Great job. When you lift the pack and hold it you can feel the quality of the material and construction.

Pakt Travel Backpack (45L) Review: The Ultimate Travel Companion

I tested the Pakt Travel Backpack (45L) on a 7-day business trip to Berlin and a 10-day family vacation in Spain, and it’s my new favorite for longer journeys. The clamshell design and 20+ smart features—like quick-access zippers, a waterproof pocket, and a padded laptop compartment (fits up to 16”)—make packing a breeze. The recycled nylon with PFC-free DWR coating held up in rain and rugged conditions, backed by a lifetime warranty. At 6’2”, I found the padded shoulder straps, sternum strap, and load lifters comfortable, even with a 25-lb load. The 45L capacity easily fit clothes, shoes, tech, and family essentials, with the expansion gusset adding space for souvenirs. It stayed carry-on compliant on EasyJet and Iberia flights.

Pros: Outstanding organization, durable, sustainable, ideal for 7-14 day trips or families. Cons: $325 price is premium; nylon hip straps could be comfier for long hauls. Verdict: A versatile, stress-free backpack perfect for extended travel. Worth it for frequent travelers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.8/5)

The Travel Backpack (45L) & Daypack (15L) - The best so far

I have just received the above 2 pieces of travel gear though have yet to put them through their paces. Upon their receipt I found them to be better than any backpacks i've ever had. They are both very attractive, well made, appear to be very durable and both with so many pockets that everytime I look through them I find a new packet that I did not realize was there before. I do not believe I will have the chance to use them until my 2 week trip to Europe this fall but I have no doubt that these will serve as my sole piece of luggage with the dimensions to be carried on (the 15L easily fits inside the 45L) making travel much easier.

FAQs

They are not completely waterproof, but the materials have been treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water-resistant) coating.

Yes! Both the 35L and 45L Travel Backpack will fit easily in the overhead compartment on most planes.

The 35L Travel Backpack is a soft sided bag, and it will fit under the seat if it is lightly packed.

Our signature carry-on backpacks provide between 35 and 45 liters of storage.

In real-world terms, that's enough for at least 3-5 days in a 35L, and generally over 5 days with a 45L.

Creating a product that will last a lifetime using ethical labor and recycled materials costs a lot.

  • We use only high-quality materials that are also environmentally responsible; and source or design hardware that will stand up to your globe-trotting ways for years and years.
  • Standing behind what we create and sell costs. We stand behind every bag with a satisfaction and lifetime guarantee. The cheaper way to go is to sell a product with a short or non-existent refund policy.
  • Responsibly-sourced costs. We ensure we pay fair wages and only work with top notch manufacturing partners that value people and the environment the same way we do.
  • Details, details, details. You would probably be blown away (or at least extremely bored) sitting in on one of our design reviews in which we nitpick the tiniest details in an effort to make sure every thread and detail is done properly. This takes time and therefore money.
  • It may just be another product to some, but each Pakt product requires A LOT of effort to create, refine and produce. These bags are made up of between 200-300 individual components (everything from each zipper pull and label to pieces of fabric cut to be assembled) and requires over 200 steps to assemble (each step of the assembly line).

Most of our peers have a full product line with multiple bags, and there’s no way they could afford to put as much effort into each of those bags as we have with our products. We choose to grow intentionally, giving each product the time and attention required to deliver a perfect product that we could be proud of for everything that went into making it.
