THE BAG

What are the bags made of?

We are only using modern, durable, technical materials that are animal-friendly and have the lowest possible environmental impact.

The Black bag features premium water-resistant YKK zippers and technical exterior fabric (420D nylon dobby). The Grey bag features a coated polyester canvas exterior and durable metal hardware with a refined patina finish, and the Navy bag has the same coated polyester canvas exterior combined with finished brass hardware.

What are the dimensions of the bag?

The Pakt One is the approved carry-on size for all major airlines and fits easily under airplane seats and in overhead compartments. It is L 20" (50.8cm) x W 10" (25.4cm) x H 11" (27.9cm) with an empty weight of 3.25 lbs and a 35 L capacity.

Where are the bags made?

The bags are manufactured in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We have regular quality control (QC) checks to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and that the facilities are clean and safe working environments. Learn more about our factory, staff, and Pakt One production here.

What are the care instructions for the Pakt One?

You can wipe, spot clean, or -- on occasion -- machine wash it.

What changed from the original Getaway bag to the Pakt One?

Owners of the Getaway loved the bag’s size and layout, so we left a good thing alone. Our main changes were to make the bag even lighter and more durable, and to add thoughtful features designed to ease the hassles of modern travel.

Will other styles be produced? Backpack? Wheels?

Right now our focus is on the duffle-style bag, but we have received requests for these features. We are taking all of that into consideration for future designs.

Is the bag vegan?

Sure is.

 

THE COMPANY

What sustainability approach did you consider in the bag design?

Our approach focuses on using low impact materials and processes. We believe that the only truly sustainable product development is none at all. But since that option isn’t compatible with the lives we lead and world we live in, we’re going with the next best thing: producing products as responsibly as possible, building them to last, and designing them to be versatile so that the buyer can minimize the number of products they need.

Where else can I buy Pakt products?

Just here! We do not plan to offer our products through other retailers at this time. Connecting directly with our customers in a meaningful way is one our favorite parts of Pakt, and we don’t want to put another entity between us.

Will you be creating other products?

Pakt will work to create additional unique and refined, responsibly-sourced travel accessories. In line with our beliefs on intentional consumption, we will expand our product line with “intentional production.” We would rather have a small line of great products where each product clearly adds value to people's lives rather than grow the line simply because “that’s what companies do,” or “that’s what retailers expect.” 

 

ORDERS AND RETURNS

What are my shipping options?

Standard -  Standard shipping typically takes 5-10 business days and is free for both domestic an internationally placed orders. Please note that orders that are placed outside the U.S. are subject to import duties, more on that below.

Expedited - 3-5 business days. This option is available for an extra fee, and is only available to U.S. customers.

Priority - 2-3 business days. This option is available for an extra fee, and is only available to U.S. customers.

When will my order ship?

Our shipping facility's hours are 9 - 5 ET Monday through Friday. If an order is placed over the weekend or after 5 pm, the order will go out the next business day.

Where do you ship?

The list of countries we ship to include: The United States including Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Europe, The European Union, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, The Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland, China, Iceland, South Africa, and Malaysia. 

How does pre-ordering work?

Pre-ordering allows you to reserve a bag before it’s available. We’re a young company that is still figuring out how much inventory we need at any given time, and sometimes we find ourselves a little short. Offering pre-orders is a way to give our customers a way to ensure they will get a bag as soon as the next production run is ready. Please note, by pre-ordering, you are paying for your purchase in advance to reserve the product when it is available. You will be charged at the time you place your order. All delivery dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed, although we will update customers of any changes.

How do I know if I'll owe import duties?

Nearly every shipment that crosses an international border is subject to the assessment of duties and taxes. Each country determines the assessment of duties and taxes differently. For customers outside the U.S., you will be subject to your local customs regulations and duty and tax charges. The most accurate way to determine what you owe is by checking with your country's customs agency.

How do I make a return?

We are so confident you’ll love the Pakt One that we guarantee it! When you receive your bag(s), if you’re not 100% satisfied with the design or quality simply send it back for a full refund of the purchase price. Please note that shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, and that additional shipping and handling fees will have to be billed for all returns.

What is your warranty policy?

We stand behind our products with a lifetime warranty. This covers manufacturing defects, and excessive damage occurring during normal use. Normal wear and tear from everyday use is not covered. We hope your bag is perfect, but if you notice a problem, send a note to support@paktbags.com and we will work with you to make things right.
